Budget category explanation: Charity

Each week, I'm going to explain a bit about each category in our budget.  The first category (after income tax, which I'm pretty sure you know all about) is charity.  We tithe ten percent to our church.  It is ten percent of our income we gladly give back to the Lord for all He has blessed us with.  We also fast (go without food or water for 24 hours to help us draw closer to the Lord and remember our blessings) and donate a fast offering to help feed, clothe, and otherwise help those who need it.
